Apprenticeship and Vocational Training Career Expo

The San Diego County Office of Education is offering an exciting experience for our high school students-The 2nd Annual Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Expo! This event will expose students to Apprenticeship programs in the areas of Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction. Apprenticeship programs are a great way for students to receive valuable training while earning a paycheck. Apprenticeship programs can potentially lead to rewarding careers in high demand industry sectors. Representatives from the following apprenticeships will be present: IBEW- Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Laborers International Union- Local 89, United Association of Plumbers & Steamfitters, Sheet Metal Apprenticeship, CA Conservation Corps, Heat and Frost Insulators, Dept of Rehabilitation, SD Job Corps Center, Southwest Carpenters Training Fund, Operating Engineers Training Trust, SD Metropolitan Transit System, Second Chance, CA Division of Apprenticeship Standards, SD and Imperial Counties’ Roofers and Waterproofers, SD Glaziers and Floor Coverers, SD Center for International Trade Development, Field Ironworkers Apprenticeship and Training Program, GRID Alternatives, any many more.
