Empowering Young Leaders to Build a Better World

The Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards celebrate tikkun olam, or “repairing the world.” The Helen Diller Family Foundation knows that supporting Jewish teen leadership today means creating and inspiring future generations of strong Jewish leaders in the global community. The Awards provide $36,000 for each recipient so that they may use it to further their project or education. Applicants must demonstrate leadership via a specific community service project that is already underway. Examples of past recipients’ work can be found on their website, www.dillerteenawards.org.
Youths ages 13-19 (at the time of nomination) who are:
  • Serving in a leadership role on a project/initiative aimed at repairing the world
  • Self-identify as Jewish
  • Volunteering without any compensation
  • Residents of the United States
Are eligible to apply.
Applicants either self-nominate and apply directly, or are nominated for the award by a teacher, rabbi, counselor or other member of their community who can speak to their leadership skills and the value of their project.
Nominations are open until December 18, 2017. https://www.dillerteenawards.org/nominate/
