BBB Ethical Torch Scholarship
Students are often faced with ethical dilemmas in school, at work, or within their social circles. When faced with a situation or circumstance where there is a choice to be made, how will they respond? Submit your essay on the importance of ethics and integrity for a chance to win one of five scholarships!

New York Academy of Sciences is now accepting applications for The Junior Academy
San Diego Unified School District students, here isn an opportunity to participate in an elite virtual STEM program. The New York Academy of Sciences is now accepting applications for the next class of The Junior Academy. They are looking for the world’s best and brightest high school students passionate about changing the world through STEM. The Junior Academy is an elite group of problem solvers made up of talented students, STEM experts, and companies around the world dedicated to designing innovative solutions to global challenges.
Each year, we invite students ages 13–18 to join The Junior Academy. Successful applicants gain lifelong access to exclusive educational opportunities and a remarkable global STEM network through Launchpad, a virtual collaboration platform.
Students develop advanced research, innovation, and collaboration skills with best-in-class learning resources and leverage these skills to compete in 70-day challenges sponsored by industry-leading companies.

Summit
Each summer, Junior Academy participants will gather at the New York Academy of Sciences in New York City for the annual Global STEM Alliance Summit. Challenge winners will receive all-expense-paid trips to attend the Summit, as well as prizes and special recognition at the event. The two-day Summit will include a variety of New York City cultural experiences, as well as opportunities to build useful connections with STEM mentors and professionals.

San Diego Workforce Partnership invites you to a Career Crawl
Do you have job seekers between the ages of 16-24 who are currently looking for employment? If so, we have an event for you!
We invite you to be part of San Diego’s first ever Career Crawl to North Park. This event is designed to encourage job seekers to explore various career opportunities at businesses in North Park while simultaneously helping the local business community access a diverse talent pool.
When: Thursday June 13th from 11am-2pm Where: Union Cowork 3919 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104 What to bring: Half of the participating businesses are actively looking for talent so please encourage your job seekers to come prepared with at least 5 copies of their resumes.
We hope to utilize this event as a way to share the experiences of small business owners and to encourage local business owners to find out about the benefits of hiring from various populations. This will be a unique job seeker event and we hope your participants can join us!
We will be meeting in the courtyard of Union Cowork to hand out Career Crawl maps and to help answer any additional questions. We will also have our CONNECT2Careers team on-site. If your job seekers are signed up for C2C they can meet their job coach in person!

Join us for the 2019 LGBTQIA2+ Pride Parade!
The Office of LGBTQIA+ Education& Advocacy invites you to join us in this year’s LGBT Pride Parade on Saturday, July 13, 2019. We will be meeting at 10:00am to create posters and signs to represent our amazing GSAs and LGBTQIA2+ students, families, and staff. At 10:45 AM, we will congregate and prepare to walk the Parade route, Unified in Pride.
